ESTABLISHED

SCRIPTURE

Colossians 2:6-7, ESV
“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

EXPLANATION

Now more than ever, it is imperative for believers worldwide to sink the roots of their spirit deep down into the Word of God and His covenant promises for their lives. Psalm 1:3, AMPC says: “And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].” God’s desire for His people is for them to be like trees planted by streams of water – so deeply rooted and established in Him that that no matter what storms or conditions come, they are untouched and prospering – spirit, soul, and body.

God’s Word is the established truth that the world is searching for. As our theme scripture states in Colossians 2:6-7, we should be walking in him, “rooted and built up in him and established in the faith.” The greatest combatant against the enemy’s demonic and deceptive strategies to mislead the Church is to employ the shield of faith – a faith that we have confirmed, put on display, and made the firm foundation of our lives. It is faith in the Word, faith in the Blood, and faith in the Name that will firmly establish the believer’s heart in these last days before the return of Jesus.

In a world with opinions flying, agendas being pushed, and deception running rampant, the next generation of young believers is rising up to counter the culture that seems to be so gripping. This year, our teenagers will be presented with spiritual nourishment and truth that will strengthen them, equip them, and empower them to live lives that demonstrate the powerful and prosperous life that our good God has ordained for them to walk in.

The definition of established is to make firm, confirm, or make sure; to show something to be true; to make stable; to put on a firm basis or foundation. This is what we are believing for in the lives of our young people – an establishing and a
building up in Him so that they can be the victorious generation that God has created them to be.

Established in truth.
Established in love.
Established in peace.
Established in joy.
Established in righteousness.
Established in the Blood.
Established in the Word.

FAQ

14forty SWBC services are considered a secure atmosphere, meaning that all the adults in our room are screened in advance and trained to be around minors. We do have a small designated area for parents or youth leaders to sit in service, but they must check-in at our adult check-in and only sit in that area. We will require proof that any adult who wishes to attend is a parent or youth leader.
After students have initially been registered in our system, students may arrive for 14forty services on their own and check in. However, students are not in the care of 14forty staff and volunteers UNTIL they have officially scanned into the service and are safely in our room.
14forty SWBC services are geared towards students who are 13 to 18 years old. Therefore, students must be 13 -18 years old at the time of the convention in order to attend. This includes younger children who may want to attend with a parent and sit in the designated seating section.
14forty youth services for the Southwest Believers’ Convention 2024 will be held in the Fort Worth Convention Center in the Ball Room. The Ball Room is located on the 2nd level near the commerce street entrance.
We will not be streaming our services live this year. However, we will be uploading the previous day’s services to our social media platforms the following day! This will enable you to still engage with us the week of SWBC if you cannot attend in person.
